SERVICES
MAC provides the following services to the GA industry:
Regulatory Support
Aviation-related regulations and policies are constantly changing.
MAC provides regulatory support to aviation trade associations and other
organizations by drafting responses to new or proposed regulations and
policies; developing member guidance; and coordinating testimony or presentations.
Compliance Guidance
Keeping up with changing regulations and policies can become a full-time
job for the members of the GA industry, particularly part 135 charter
operators. MAC conducts pre-inspection gap assessments, manual reviews,
and other activities related to federal regulation compliance to help
ensure your operation is in line with applicable requirements.
Safety
Safety is a top priority for much of the GA industry, but how do you
know if your organization is conducting the safest possible operations?
MAC performs gap assessments, pre-audit analysis (i.e. for the International
Business Aviation Operators Council [IBAC] International Standard for
Business Aircraft Operations [IS-BAO] or the Air Charter Safety Foundation’s
[ACSF’s] Industry Audit Standard), safety manual development, and emergency
response planning assistance.
Security
Most of GA is unregulated by the federal government when it comes to
security, yet as an industry we all feel a responsibility to maintain
secure operations. MAC conducts security-related gap assessments and
develops security plans for aircraft operators, GA airports, or fixed
base operators (FBOs) not required to hold a formal security program.
This includes promotion of industry best practices for security and
preparation for the upcoming Large Aircraft Security Program. For GA
operators seeking access to Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA),
MAC is also a leading expert in the DCA Access Standard Security Program.
Education
MAC believes it is irresponsible to hoard valuable compliance, safety,
and security knowledge. As a result, MAC supports trade associations
and other organizations in coordinating and conducting training seminars
and conferences and as well as drafting, editing, and producing educational
publications.
